King nipples, also known as KC nipples, are widely used in fluid transfer applications where they are used to connect hose to pipe, fittings and various other components. These fittings are composed of a tapered threaded end designed to screw into a fitting with female NPT Threads (National Pipe Thread), while the other end is a barbed hose shank to designed to fit into a hose or tubing. Constructed out of stainless steel 316, king fittings are strong and corrosion resistant which ensures longevity in many environments. Their tapered male thread allows for a watertight seal when threaded into the female NPT fitting, while the barbed end ensures a secure connection into hoses or tubing, when fastened with hose clamps. The stainless steel king nipple is most commonly used in the petroleum, chemical, and agriculture industries where they provide reliable connections in piping systems for all kinds of fluid transfer.
